You live only once. There’s no second life for anyone. And throughout my lifetime I have always had multiple interests. So I’ve squeezed in, sometimes quite idiosyncratically, what I could during the past 61 years: Physician (board certified radiologist), research biologist (EPA), zoologist (Dept Interior), US Navy pilot, Loomis courier, brother Alpha Phi Omega Natl Service Fraternity, Kyokushin Karate (3rd Kyu), Boy Scout (Order of the Arrow, Life rank), altar boy, newspaper boy, pizza chef, choirs (age 6 through adulthood).
Some of the activities I’ve enjoyed (but not necessarily well, since I’m not an athlete): archery, rifle & handgun target shooting, volleyball, photography, swimming, cycling, hiking, horseback riding, camping, rowing, canoeing, rafting, sky-diving, motorcycling (street & trail), skating (ice & street), skiing (down hill & cross country), music (wide ranging – from Albéniz to Zimmer, but mostly classical, blues & jazz), genealogy, coin collecting … and a few others.
I believe in honesty, self-reliance, individual freedom and self-determination, and I’m compassionate towards the youngest and oldest among us.
