Hernan is a scientist and a physician. He is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases with interests in HIV disease, Nutrition and Travel Medicine. He has published about 50 papers in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has traveled extensively and worked in Europe and Asia. He lives and works in the USA. His major interests (outside work and the sciences -psychology, molecular biology-), include art collecting, foreign languages, writing, table tennis, and traveling. Enjoys dining out and to engage in lengthy discussions on topics related to IQ, philosophy, science, nutrition and the arts.
